90 years of INROS LACKNER

90 years – and always evolving. Once a small design office, we have developed into a renowned architecture and engineering firm. And when we look back, it is remarkable to see how much has changed during this time. From the manual drawing board to the digital workflow; from handwritten structural analyses to complex computer calculations; from rudimentary pencil sketches to high-tech visualisations. Perspectives on architecture, technology, the environment and design have also constantly evolved. At the core, however, one thing remains constant: the objective of finding good solutions. Throughout our anniversary year, we will be sharing notable company highlights and projects on LinkedIn and on our website.

the infrastructure required by the energy transition

(from left to right) Michael Beckmann (Regional Director North), Torsten Retzlaff (Company Director) and Wolfgang Eckstaller (Regional Director South) are together overseeing Inros Lackner’s contribution to the ongoing development of Germany’s electricity grid. Expanding the infrastructure presents technical, organisational and legal challenges. This makes close collaboration among all stakeholders – grid operators, environmental and technical planners, and other partners – all the more crucial.

Act Now

”Already during my studies, I was fascinated by the interdisciplinary challenge of climate change. At PIANC's Permanent Task Group on Climate Change (PTG CC), I can now contribute to developing practical guidelines for the planning and design of water-borne transport infrastructure – and thus help ensure that climate adaptation doesn't remain just theory, but makes a real difference in practice.”
