Sustainable transport planning treats road, rail, waterborne, cycling and pedestrian transport as interconnected systems. Designing, planning and rehabilitation

Engineering structures such as bridges, tunnels, retaining walls and noise protection barriers are dominant elements of our transportation networks. Our engineers design, plan and refurbish structures that combine technical progress, sustainability and design considerations. This is underpinned by our extensive experience in a wide range of construction methods, structural systems and refurbishment techniques. Complex projects can be captured and assessed quickly and precisely using geographic information systems (GIS), while 3D visualisations and animated simulations enable their realistic integration into the built and natural environment.

Shaping mobility with a view to the future

Future-proof transport planning takes an integrated approach to all modes of transport, creating solutions that are efficient, safe and sustainable. Based on in-depth analyses, we develop demand-oriented concepts for motorised transport, public transport, walking and cycling. Using advanced traffic flow simulations, we evaluate existing and planned transport systems, identify opportunities for optimisation and analyse the impact of new infrastructure on junctions, routes and networks. Traffic management and traffic signal systems are also incorporated into our integrated planning approach.
