What personally motivated you to join the "INROS LACKNER hilft" charitable association?
The association's commitment to its cause, and the support it provides to less privileged communities in other countries, are directly visible and understandable to us members, and that convinced me. We can see where the money is being invested and how our help is making a difference. The projects we support are selected by our staff in the region concerned – for example, in Africa or Asia – or initiated in collaboration with local associations and organisations.

What social problems does the association specifically address – and how does it try to respond to them?
The projects supported by "INROS LACKNER hilft" address a wide range of social problems and challenges. Safety, security, confidently raising a family, future prospects, healthier living conditions, and access to education and healthcare – the people we help cannot take these things for granted.

Our initiatives are wide-ranging – including, for example, the procurement of computers for a school in Sierra Leone, the construction of a health centre in Senegal, the evacuation of a children's home in Ukraine, and the construction of lavatory facilities for a school in Cambodia.

Why do you consider the association's work particularly important, especially in today's world?
In many countries where Inros Lackner participates in construction projects, basic living standards – relating to education, clean water, medical care, etc. – are not available to everybody as they are in other countries. With the founding of the charitable association "Inros Lackner hilft e.V." (Inros Lackner helps), our social commitment was expanded to help beyond our project work where support is most urgently needed. I think it's important in today’s world to give hope and to somehow help people who are less fortunate than us to create better living conditions and build a more promising future. Every donation counts – and 100% is received where it is needed.
