Laboratory building, Hanover
Technical building equipment for a multifunctional research building
On the premises of Medical Park Hanover, interdisciplinary research has been reorganised. In cooperation with the German state of Niedersachsen’s Centre for Biomedical Engineering, Implant Research and Development (NIFE), a laboratory building was constructed to bring together various fields of research. In the new three-storey research building, with its useable floor space of approximate 7,000 square metres for laboratory, office and other purposes, innovative implants and strategies to fight implant-associated infections are developed. New electrophysiological, chemical and laser laboratories were built, and these were supplemented by the appropriate infrastructure and peripheral equipment.
With extensive experience in laboratory construction, Inros Lackner was responsible for the planning and design of the technical facilities – such as water supply and wastewater disposal systems, ventilation plant, heat supply and utility supply systems, building automation and fire extinguishing systems – and for the outdoor technical facilities.
