Summer vacation in the snow
From Hanoi to Sydney, from Sydney to Rostock

“Germans are much friendlier, than I had expected.” This is Nguyen Ngoc Phuong Dong’s lasting impression after a three-month internship with Inros Lackner SE in Rostock. Dong studies Civil Engineering in Sidney, but comes from Hanoi, where he met Dr. Marion Radegast during his summer vacation job. At this time Dr. Radegast, deputy department head infrastructure, managed a project for the improvement of water supply and disposal of agricultural areas. Dong enjoyed working with the German project manager and he needed no long thinking when offered to come to Germany for an internship. His decision to spend the next summer vacation in the cold German winter was taken quickly.
