Christian Esser, Managing Director INROS LACKNER Togo

I am a civil engineer with German–West African roots and have been permanently based in Togo since 2009. My early years in Togo and Gabon had a lasting influence on my personal and professional development and shaped my decision to return to Africa after completing my civil engineering studies in Germany. My diploma thesis, which was based on an Inros Lackner project in Lomé, marked the beginning of my long-term professional engagement in the region.

In 2011, I assumed management of Inros Lackner Togo and have since been Managing Director of the company. During this time, the organisation has grown from a team of three to more than 40 professionals from Togo, Benin, and North Africa. The company’s activities focus on sustainable infrastructure solutions in coastal and port engineering, complemented by the delivery of a wide range of infrastructure projects across the region. Continuing professional development, structured knowledge exchange, and the empowerment of local professionals are key pillars of my work as managing director.
