SuedOstLink: Construction site “open day”

Experience Engineering

Sülztal, May 2026: Along the SuedOstLink route near Sülztal in the Börde district, visitors gained fascinating insights on May 8th into one of 50Hertz's largest infrastructure projects – under the motto "Construction machines in action, experience civil engineering!"

  • How are the power cables laid in the ground?
  • What technology is used?
  • How are environmental protection and nature conservation taken into account?

Project manager Lale Serin and project controller Felix Bäuerle were on site for Inros Lackner and provided insights into their daily work. Together, they coordinate the interfaces involving crossing partners (who have responsibility for roads, railway lines, rivers, utilities, etc. that cross the route) and the project developer along the 88-kilometre Section A1 where it passes through the Börde and Salzland districts. Lale Serin is responsible for technical coordination, while Felix Bäuerle oversees the crossing agreements. These agreements play a central role in route planning, as such crossings arise at many locations along the route. Precise coordination and alignment are essential to ensure these crossings are implemented in a technically and legally sound and environmentally friendly manner – challenges that our team described when providing insights into the day-to-day planning process.
