Fire Service Centre
Neustadt-Glewe, September 2025: With the laying of the foundation stone, construction of the new fire service centre for the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has officially begun. Minister-President Manuela Schwesig and District Administrator Stefan Sternberg participated in the ceremony, along with the Mayor of Neustadt-Glewe and numerous other representatives from the fields of politics and administration as well as the fire service.
A modern centre for fire and disaster protection is being built on an area of approximately six hectares. It is planned to construct workshops, vehicle halls, storage areas, training rooms and offices – all tailored precisely to the needs of the fire services. Inros Lackner is responsible for the general planning of the project, including architecture, structural design, technical building systems, civil engineering and infrastructure development.
The new centre with its integrated training facilities is scheduled for completion by the end of 2027. Once operational, the existing hubs in Hagenow and Dargelütz will be closed. Additional facilities, such as a disaster relief depot, are planned for further construction phases.
