Fire service headquarters

Inauguration of the multifunctional building in August 2022: The technical headquarters of the region’s brings together under one roof 162 fire brigades. Inros Lackner took on the role of the project’s General Planner on behalf of the Rostock district. The two-storey building, with its floor area of 3,100 m², houses offices, training rooms, workshops, accommodation, a cookshop with a dining area, storage rooms and a vehicle hall with 10 parking spaces. The building is used by the district’s fire brigade association, fire protection department, fire brigade technical centre and emergency management headquarters. The design and infrastructural connection of the external facilities on the 23,000 m² site, including the associated training areas, were included in the range of services – as were the fire-fighting water pool, the ladder tower with synthetic paving on the ground and a respiratory equipment training facility.
