New lavatory facilities for a school in Cambodia

Helping schoolchildren

The project to build a new toilet facility at Pouthiprek Primary School in Cambodia has been successfully completed. Our charity organisation ‘INROS LACKNER hilft’, which was involved in this project, provided over USD 10,000 to create the urgently needed infrastructure for the schoolchildren.

The planning and coordination work was carried out on site under the direction of Rainer Israel, Managing Director of INROS LACKNER Cambodia and founding member of ‘INROS LACKNER hilft’. A local construction company from the village of Pouthiprek was responsible for the realisation of the construction measures, which ensured a close connection between the community and the project.

Special thanks go to Kim Sokngim, a former pupil of Pouthiprek Primary School and current employee at INROS LACKNER Cambodia. Kim, who has been committed to her home village for many years, played a central role in the realisation of the project. Her commitment has already led to the establishment of a school library in the past, which has been equipped with several computers and gives pupils access to digital learning resources.
