DONG energy renewables GmbH is a Danish energy company. The construction and organisational activities for the Borkum-Riffgrund offshore areas are organised and coordinated via the branch office in Hamburg. The construction supervision required for the offshore measures is deployed from the port in Norden. Here, a new operations building in room cell construction with offices, control centre, changing rooms with drying facilities for protective equipment, meeting rooms, workshops and storage areas was built. A helicopter platform is planned for the future. A special feature of the construction is the high degree of prefabrication for structural components and the concrete façade. The energy concept integrates a geothermal system and large-scale PV and solar thermal systems for the use of renewable energies.
