New construction of furniture store
In Kaarst, IKEA opened the most modern and first sustainable furniture store in Germany. The heat supply is provided by the store's own combined heat and power plant. The power supply comes from solar thermal and photovoltaic systems. The sales and exhibition areas cover approx. 25,000 m², and 1,280 parking spaces are available. The planning scope of the Inros-Lackner team included sustainability, design and functional studies. Furthermore, the scope of services includes implementation planning, tendering and awarding as well as construction supervision.
