New tram depot, Magdeburg

The Magdeburger Verkehrsbetriebe are planning the new construction of the tram depot north in Magdeburg for approx. 90 trams with workshops, a social and office building and a central warehouse. Inros Lackner won the competition procedure in cooperation with the Gestering/Knipping/de Vries planning group and is responsible for the structural design as well as the thermal and fire protection. The workshop building is divided into two central workshop halls equipped with six multifunctional workstations. Other workshop areas are used for the machining of electromechanical components as well as for office and social rooms.
