T Galleria Store, Cambodia

In March 2016, DFS Group opened its doors at the first T Galleria store in Cambodia. With 8000 sqm the largest duty-free luxury department store in the country, it offers travellers an integrated retail, hospitality and leisure experience at the Angkor National Museum in Siem Reap. Inros Lackner Cambodia was engaged by DFS Group Limited of Hong Kong for the structural assessment and design of building modifications. The provided structural engineering services included non-destructive concrete testing by ultrasonic instrument, steel bar locator and GPR, carbonation testing of concrete and assessment of foundation piles by PIT. A geotechnical investigation consisting of Cone Penetration Tests (CPTu) were performed. From the results, ultimate pile capacities and skin friction were calculated.
