Giang Vo Complex, Hanoi

Located in the Central Business District, with a view of the spectacular Giang Vo Lake, this mixed-use development includes an internationally operated 5-star hotel, 150 serviced apartments, a shopping mall, a multifunctional ballroom and an office building. Inspired by a traditional Vietnamese folding fan, the building‘s main facade “opens” towards the lake. The design places a strong focus on efficiency and reducing energy consumption. The building uses a water cooling and ice storage system for air-conditioning the whole building. It also uses the latest heat recovery technology for air ventilation and recycled grey water for irrigation. The filter system in the basement ensures water quality in accordance with German standards. Heat pumps and PV-equipment help to produce heat during the cold season.
