GRIMMWELT, Kassel
New building for Brothers Grimm museum
The new GRIMMWELT museum in the Weinberg area of the German city of Kassel is a central element of the city’s honouring of the Brothers Grimm. It seeks to actively draw visitors into the experience, conveying the authors’ life and work in an enthralling manner. The exhibit floors have a split-level arrangement, and the building also has a shop, a conference room and a café. Since the roof can be accessed by visitors, it was necessary to locate all ventilation plant inside the building.
