Müritz Hospital, Waren
Natural air conditioning using geothermal energy
This project involved the renovation and extension of the hospital’s ward block to 170 beds, the construction of a new building with six operating theatres, ancillary rooms and laboratories and the construction of another building with kitchen and administration facilities. Inros Lackner was responsible for planning and designing the complete provision of the building complex with the required technical equipment. This included, most notably, the natural air-conditioning of the new buildings using geothermal energy – for cooling, and, in combination with a heat pump, for heating.
