Construction of Spree secondary school, Fürstenwalde
The district of Oder-Spree in eastern Germany is building a new secondary school for approximately 500 students, on a land area of 12,483 m2. The project includes not only the main school building and sport and recess areas (approx. 1 ha), but also a new two-field sports hall. Inros Lackner was appointed in the role of General Planner for the project. The design of the three-storey building was subject to special requirements relating to inclusion, integration, full-day services and a practice-oriented approach to teaching. The building complies with all applicable standards of the current German energy saving regulation (EnEV), and all current requirements of the German law promoting renewable energy in heating (EEWärmeG).
