High School, Brandenburg
The construction project includes the redesign of the traffic and outdoor facilities and the renovation of the existing building waterproofing at the High school in Brandenburg with the aim of functionally upgrading and reorganizing the school grounds (access, supply and disposal, rainwater management, quality of stay, disabled access). The measures were developed in close consultation with the school management, taking into account the wishes of the pupils. To improve the quality of stay and use of the schoolyard, the schoolyard was created as a large connected open space with various uses such as a "green classroom", a small playing field, various new seating areas and diverse plantings (flower beds, shrubs and useful trees, tree plantings). The quality of the area is significantly enhanced by numerous plantings of oak, lime, maple, chestnut, elm and ash trees, some of which are integrated into the seating areas. The shrub plantings were mainly arranged directly in front of the school building using evergreen trees and shrubs.
