Gas pipeline, Brandenburg/Saxony

To ensure a sustainable and secure gas supply, the existing pipeline network of ONTRAS Gastransport GmbH is being modernized and upgraded for the future. This involves laying a new pipeline between Lauchhammer (Brandenburg) and Strehla (Saxony) for gas pipeline 12, including the ancillary facilities. The route is around 33 km long plus 11 km of connecting pipeline and 45 km of cable systems. In close coordination with the pipeline planning, the complete environmental documents for the planning approval procedures were prepared for the two federal states concerned and the procedures were monitored. Due to the high nature conservation significance of the planning area and various protected area requirements, the planning was optimized against the background of legal requirements and security of supply. The structural implementation in both federal states is supported by environmental construction supervision.
