Compensation measure, MV

The rewetting of the Wolfsberg lake meadows is a nature compensation measure for the construction of the A20 freeway and the resulting encroachment on wetland habitats. In the vicinity of the city of Rostock, the course of the Kösterbeck stream is being renaturalized and redesigned so that water is subsequently kept in the lower-lying sections of the site and wet meadows can be preserved and newly created. Environmental planning accompanies the project with the preparation of all environmental documents (e.g. species protection report, water framework directive report, environmental impact assessment, hydraulic report), coordinates the participating specialist offices and accompanies the project developer (DEGES) through the approval procedure.
