Grid connection for offshore wind park, North Sea
High-voltage direct-current (HVDC) transmission

DolWin3 is a 900 MW grid connection for wind parks in the North Sea and TenneT’s third project in the Dolwin Cluster, which is located approximately 90 km from the coast. The transmission is by means of direct current technology from the converter station at sea to the Dörpen West substation. In total, approximately 160 km of cabling is required. Inros Lackner examined the TenneT tender documentation with respect to the legal framework and planning permission conditions, and made recommendations for the tender preparation. The environmental aspects of the planning approval were also summarised for the client, and the applicable technical standards assessed in relation to the tender. The tender, project structure planning, schedule and progress planning and resource planning were also included in the scope of work.
