Crivitz Bypass, Schwerin
Minimising environmental impact

Residential areas, terrain layout, woodlands and lowland areas, and many rare and protected animal and plant species placed particular challenges for route selection and thus relating also to the avoidance of potential impacts on the region. Road, bridge and landscape design merged together smoothly during preparation of the required approval documentation, and various design optimisations were introduced in minimising the project’s ecological and environmental impacts.
