Station bridge, Lübeck
The 7-span steel composite bridge in Fackenburger Allee was completed in 1907. After more than 115 years of intensive use, a new replacement structure was needed that could withstand the current traffic. The new superstructure is widened by 8.5 m and integrates an additional separate bus lane on a bridge length of 74.5 m towards the city centre and a right-hand turn lane towards the outskirts. Due to the nine electrified tracks underneath the station bridge, construction is being carried out in compliance with long-term planned railway closure breaks in order to maintain rail traffic as far as possible during the construction phase. The lifting of massive girder packages for the superstructure of the new bridge as well as the concrete and equipment works were partly carried out at night. The planning services were implemented using the BIM method.
