Warnow Bridge, Rostock

Bicycle and pedestrian bridge

As part of the inner-city development, a new cycle and pedestrian bridge is being planned across the Warnow in Rostock's city harbor. The new construction will be around 550 m long and 6 m wide and will connect the city harbor with the Gehlsdorf district on the eastern bank of the Warnow. According to the plans, the bridge will have a fixed section of at least ≥ 8.50 m above mean sea level and a movable section that will be opened several times a day to allow large ships to pass. The traffic facilities around the bridge and in the area of the city harbor will be adapted to the existing structure. In Gehlsdorf, the "Fährberg" road will be repaired and a new traffic circle created.
