Canal crossing, Brandenburg
Refurbishment of Havel-Oder Waterway
As part of a refurbishment project on the Havel-Oder Waterway, a 2.1-kilometre section of canal was relocated onto an embankment, facilitating the construction of a new canal crossing over two Deutsche Bahn railway tracks. As part of a consortium, Inros Lackner provided planning and design services for the following project sections, among others: reconstruction of the stretch of canal (2.1 km); construction of the new canal crossing of the railway tracks, with sealing of the design (railway tunnel of length 150 m with cuttings of lengths 50 m and 290 m at the ends); construction of a new road bridge with approach ramps and an otter passage (steel arch bridge of span 75 m); modification of the railway tracks on the route Berlin – Stralsund; and demolition of the old canal bridge.
