SuedLink, Baden-Württemberg
The approximately 700km-long HVDC transmission line, operated by TenneT TSO and TransnetBW, is designed to transport electricity from wind turbines on Germany’s North Sea coast to Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. Planned as an underground cable connection, the transmission link will have a capacity of up to 4 gigawatts – roughly equivalent to the output of three typical power plants. Inros Lackner, in a joint venture with Vössing Ingenieure, was commissioned by TransnetBW to oversee construction for contract sections 9 and 10 of the SuedLink sub-project Sued 3 (planning approval sections E2 and E3).
