Ferry port, Norderney

BIM pilot project for new south jetty

As part of a basic renovation of the south pier on the North Sea island of Norderney, which is in need of refurbishment, the pier currently used for ferry traffic to the mainland is being dismantled and replaced by a new building at the same location. As part of a joint venture with the construction companies, Inros Lackner has been commissioned with the technical processing and BIM coordination of the project in the implementation planning. The planning of the new building includes a seaward foundation with plumb piles as well as a harbour-side foundation on a continuous, diagonally anchored sheet pile wall. The planning and execution for demolition and new construction is model-based in all service phases on the basis of BIM use cases. The service includes, among other things, the CDE-based implementation of the following use cases: Visualisation, coordination of the specialist trades, planning approval, scheduling of the execution, creation of execution plans as well as construction progress control and documentation.
