Shipyard, Turkmenbashi

Port development in Turkmenistan

The new shipyard (430x350 m) was built on the edge of the seaport of the city of Turkmenbashi on the Caspian Sea on a total construction area of about 15 ha. The water depth at the quay is 7.5 m and the size of the design vessel is 150x18x6.5 m. In cooperation with Ingenieurtechnik & Maschinenbau GmbH, Inros Lackner was in charge of planning the shipyard and advising the client.

The turnkey shipyard was planned on the "green field" from the first technological shipyard concept approaches to the last equipment detail and the construction of the shipyard and the accompanying infrastructure measures were supervised. The shipyard supports the offshore industry in addition to the construction of new vessels and repair work.
