Transport and mobility

Planning mobility to meet demand

Future-proof transport planning requires an integrated approach considering all modes of transport.

Based on comprehensive analyses of existing and potential future conditions, we develop sustainable and needs-based solutions for private motorised transport, public transport, and pedestrian and bicycle traffic. The focus is not only on efficiency and safety but also on other aspects such as accessibility, user experience and sustainability. For evaluation and further development purposes we utilise various methods – including, for example, microscopic traffic simulations which enable us to realistically estimate existing and future traffic flows. This helps us to identify shortcomings and reliably assess the traffic impacts of planned projects and infrastructure measures on intersections, routes and transportation networks. The analysis and optimisation of traffic signalling and traffic management systems are also incorporated into our planning.
